Terms of Service

Last updated: July 23, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Auth.io, an authentication and identity management platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Auth.io provides authentication and identity infrastructure, including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect flows, multi-tenant realms, client and user management, key management and usage-based billing.

We may update, improve or change the service over time. We will make reasonable efforts to announce changes that materially affect your integration in advance.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, API secrets and signing keys, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to gain unauthorized access to other tenants, disrupting the service, reverse engineering the platform, or using it to store or transmit unlawful content.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service — including the personal data of your end users that you process through it — complies with the laws applicable to you.

4. Billing and subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Stripe according to the plan you select. Usage-based charges are calculated from the metrics shown in your subscription settings.

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access to paid features continues until then.

5. Availability and support

We work to keep the service available and reliable, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Scheduled maintenance and factors beyond our reasonable control may temporarily affect availability.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Auth.io shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or data arising from your use of the service.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or through the service before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
